If you have booked in a family session, newborn or portrait session you will be sent the low down on what to wear.  Personally I love to see families in clothes that they feel good in, ideally a co-ordinated wardrobe, rather than matchy matchy!  I'm a huge fan of block colours and natural fibres as these always lend themselves well to a textured, lush image.  Bare feet also make me happy :)  If you are not sure what to wear, I can hold your hand throughout this process and will give you plenty of inspiration for the day.

One of the first things we talk about is what time of day to shoot.  Being a natural light photographer, I do rely on the weather being kind to me.  Luckily I love dark, moody clouds and sunshine!  The best light of the day is usually golden hour, which is an hour or two before sunset (or an hour or two from sunrise).  You can rest assured that this will be magical and with the light behind you, there will be  no dark shadows or squinting so it will be flattering for everyone.

As a natural light photographer, I love to shoot outdoors at locations around Melbourne.  My aim is to find out the kind of location that resonates with you whether it be in your own home or on location such as the beach, park or in the mountains.  My favourite spots are Half Moon Bay, the acorn patch, the Briars in Mount Martha, the dandenongs or anywhere in between... the choice is yours.
